Visiting a Produce Auction to Save Money with Food Dehydration!

Going to a produce auction when you have a food dehydrator at home is a great idea if you want to save money and build your pantry! This is a fun and short little video showing my trip to a produce auction (farmer's auction) and how I purchased a truck full of produce for just 60 dollars!

A produce auction is when farmers sell their crops directly to the public in an auction-style! This is a fast way for Farmer's to sell large amounts of food in little time, especially items that might be already ripe or nearing expiration! Most people would have no ability to consume all of this food before it would go bad, but with food dehydration, you can buy in bulk and then dehydrate the food to last years! This is one of the cheapest and fastest ways to build your pantry with delicious dehydrated treats that can be used in meals in the future! Savvy!

We love to help you dehydrate, store, and build your pantry! Here are some things we think will help you!

**** ITEMS WE RECOMMEND ****
Excalibur Dehydrator: https://bit.ly/DehydratorExcalibur
Vacuum Sealer: https://bit.ly/VacSealerMachines
Vacuum Bags: https://bit.ly/VacuumSealerBags

For high-volume dehydration and storage, we recommend the 9-tray Excalibur dehydrator and a heavy-duty vacuum sealer with dual motors. For low- or moderate-volume dehydration, we recommend 6- or 9-tray Excalibur, and any vacuum sealer, with high-quality vacuum bags.

You do know there is a virus going around. This doesn’t say much for social distancing for sure.

Lot of produce for $60! We have CSAs around here but I’ve never heard of this kind of event. How would we go about finding these auctions? Oh, and congratulations on the big haul!
