“I can see Florida from my house.”
– David The Good
We are basically neighbors now!
My mother in law lives in Loxley so we are over that way fairly often. It’s a beautiful area.
Get my new book Alabama Survival Gardening. 🙂
You’re such a goof…All the space launches were faked in Gulfport MS at the Stennis space center.
im a 3rd generation FL girl now stuck in WA state and i miss home and the people back home are so different than those here..i miss home !
Virginia Palmer Washington State is a beautiful place. I have relatives there. Yes people are different, many are transplants, most are good people.
You are in WA because that is where you want to be.
I’m happy for you and your family. God Bless!
That’s Southern hospitality for you. You don’t see it so much in Florida as it is a transient State. I have family all over the State of Alabama. It’s a beautiful State, especially further North in the mountains.
I lived in 54 years in Miami…Pembroke..Palm Bch..& now in Ocala Florida and we have plenty of hospitality !
Wouldn’t trade it for no other !
You just missed the hurricanes?
Well done, sir. Well done.
Sometimes a fixer-upper is too much.
Especially for mama…
Congratulations.
And welcome home, sir.
This is encouraging for me David, Im going thru the exact same thing right now!
Yeah man, that’s how middle GA is too. Power goes out and it’s time to fire up the chainsaws, light the bbq/smoker, and help each other out. We are transplants from Fresno, CA, so completely thankful to be here! Welcome back.
Wow your an “AlaFloridan”Cool! Bloom where your planted ! : )
Floribama?
WOW, I love God stories!!! I’m glad you’re back safe and sound!!! I look forward to your new garden series! TY
YES!! Got me all teary. Love seeing God at work in these crazy ways.
Hey hey. You’re finally in my zone! Can’t wait to see your zone 8 tropical garden. 😁
wow 30 acres, cant imagine all the food you could plant there. seems like an amazing place.
Good to see you some place stable finally!
Hey David, sounds like you have been through quite the ordeal, I’m glad to see your settled down again 😁 I hope all goes well with the new house 😁
“Settled down” ? hahaha…
Settled down….again. His poor wife!
brother it brought tears to my eyes to hear the incredible ways God provided in such a supernatural way for you and your family during these times. It’s good to have you back near native soil brother brother
Alabama allows the purple yam? A benefit for going over the line. Welcome back!
Sounds like a good place to grow strawberries! If the nurseries are out then get a pack of strawberries, slice off the outer sections and put them in dirt right next to fences, houses, and trees. In that climate they should grow pretty much any time of year~ Since mid summer i’ve been sacrificing the outer surfaces of every strawberry that comes my way and now there’s over 300 strawberry plants in the garden and still a lot of newer seedlings in various places that we’ll figure out what to do with~
Your wife is a saint, very patient! Glad you are back.
Southern hospitality is genuine and hard to beat!
Thought I would mention when i told my husband where you where, he said your leaving was the smartest thing you could have done. The people there are friendly until they are not, and then it gets dangerous.
