*What are the Most Important FORGOTTEN Items you feel every Prepper should Stockpile/ Hoard?*
@Oscar Gouveia ….And don’t forget toilet paper tablets. Their like small portable sponges and they don’t take up as much room as regular toilet paper.😉
@The Commandment of Faith No!…Your Connection is right on target and your statement is valid and true. Due to the fact that these 50 states of the United States of America practices exactly what Sodom and Gommorah practiced and they were destroyed by fire immediately after Lot and his family were extracted by angels.😲🤫🤐
@Corey Mack LOL I just got 1 & some YOYO’s too.
@Chris Sanders … Good job! I see that you like to eat good like me! I refuse to eat those filthy government rations. They are the worst kind of food known to man.☺️
@Leslie Paul Kovacs old oil drums work well also
the situation in my hometown is that all the shelves are full again after being empty for 3 days
We never had a problem…small town..and we made the city trash feel..unwelcome, unwanted, and in no uncertain terms made it clear we wernt there for their ebay hording schemes…..
You are also very lucky my man👍
We have a wonder wash off grid washer a spin dryer I also have a camp shower. Power is often am issue due hurricane season. I have a small solar generator with solar panel to recharge and a 5 watt panel to charge phone . I learned alot after Irma no power 3 days
@Brad Jackson its great
@Mike Reiffin yes if i understood that correct
FYI, Dish soap is easer for handwashing clothing.
Army thing
Dawn dishsoap ftw!
Greg Roy hell I just washed my clothes in the bath tub the other day!
I like Dr. Bronner’s soap – it is highly concentrated and can be used for personal hygiene, laundry, general cleaning – just about anything you need soap.
Dawn is great on collar stains.
.. .Yep!…This is true, which is why I still use it to this very day.😉
Buying extra food for my dogs and cats, and cat litter was one of the first thing my family bought. Our animals are our family, it’s sad that a lot of people don’t think about buying things for them in these type of situations
Same I bought cat food first
Me too. Just be sure to check the expiration dates on the dog food! Might not be an issue but when it is, they can get quite sick. 🐶
Exactly my fur babies are my family they are my priority
Any pet should have a job or fill a purpose. I see little upside to cats. Dogs actually can do something for you,a feline is nothing but a liability. I guess you could make catgut stitching material. You don’t have cats, they have you. You cat lovers can bash, but I stand by my words.
@Kelly Doyle Good point. The oils in dog and cat food can go rancid. The best thing to stock is canned food for them. If you buy it by the case, you store a lot in less space than bulky bags. God bless you and your family.
All the Mormons and gun guys are like “first time?”
lol Not entirely inaccurate. haha
Right. It’s not like this hasn’t been staring us in the face. (I had thought we’d have at least one more dress rehearsal though.)
SEED SEEDS
Not in Michigan. Seeds were banned. And people accept it. Pathetic state
@Pat C seeds are banned? Are you serious?
@John Marks He’s full of crap.
@John Marks I live in an apartment in the city and grow almost all of my own veggies.
@GreenIdLady 1 in your apartment?
my parents are prepping types on opposite specrtums, my moms a food and household prepper, and my pop is a outdoors/buggout prepper. So i learned early on as a kid the tricks to survive. Awesome video Chris, your the calmest prepper on Youtube. If your kids are bored, u can have your kids stomp wash the laundry, thats how we did it when i was a kid. just make sure ur kids scrub up before they stomp wash your clothes.
Good Tip for my kids on the laundry! I like the idea. I try to be calm and level head in most things but in the end I am human
Yes! Wear them out so they’ll go to bed on time 😆
Yea first thing I did was buy 5 months worth of food for my dog. Knowing she’ll be ok atleast for 5 months gave me a bit piece of mind especially in times like this.
Got aload of dog and cat food, the wife thinks im looking after them . But i said if worst come to worst we can eat them, i haven’t seem them for a couple of days ,but the doctor says when the swelling goes down i should be able see better😃 ,. these are sad times try and stay in and stay safe
Hope you put it where she can’t get at it! Caught our dog having a great time after knocking the lid off the bucket we had it in.
Thats it keep’m fat and plump that way you can eat them later if needed!
Kelly Doyle it won.’t. My Dad was a farmer and rancher who always had dogs. He bought dry dog food in hundred pound bags. Never had any go bad. His biggest problem was keeping rats out of it. He solved that with huge metal containers.
@cinnamon namon get a collar and leash or harness.I had a neighbor years ago they had two cats
They used to sit in their.lawn chairs in the shade. Their two cats had harnesses and a long length of rope. They were each attached to a cinderblock. When the cats had enough of the outdoors they took them in.
It’s totally out in my area, but pro tip: If you’ve got isopropyl alcohol available in your area, buy a large container of it and some glycerine, and you’ve got some homebrew hand sanitiser.
Just remember, *this is not a replacement for washing your damn hands*
You can also add distilled water to 90% alcohol to get the more effective 70% alcohol plus a little extra!
GraceB2u Bonilla You should double check this. I believe they said it needs to be 70% alcohol to kill viruses. So if you dilute the typical 70% alcohol with water, it wont be effective. Lots online about it.
@Be N S O N Thank you, stay safe and well.
@Kelly Doyle 60%
@Kelly Doyle most hand sanitizer is 62% alcohol
Don’t forget about pads, tampons, menstrual cups, and any other menstrual products you may need!!!
And XL condoms
@Pat C condoms? they do ass2mouth directly
@humandxp Always
Just in case it helps, it is super super easy to create your pads just with toilet paper
@humandxp ….This is of a truth,a fact to which I must Mutually agree. Many of these so-called Independent Women who claim to be self totally self sufficient are going to suffer like no other. Many of them will be desperate to find husbands who can provide for them at that time. Many of them will be too old to find a husband and many will be forced into prostitution to feed their habits or addictions or to feed their children. Many will just simply starve to death.😲😲😲
Remember people, you can boil tap water.
In England our water is safe to drink from the tap 🙂
@Santina Murphy Clam down. No need to call people stupid. Maybe nobody told them any better.
I’m so happy I can drink it straight from the tap… Such an overlooked convenvie for some people
@Drop Forged Survival, I think a few things you are missing meds-wise, is you should have Benadryl, for allergies and allergic reactions, and Elderberry ( syrup, gummies ,etc!) It is used world wide for the flu, or fevers, and works so quickly! I am so surprised it is not more well known here in the U.S. Also, things for nausea…ginger, or ginger tea. Works insntantaneously!! These things I have in my house at ALL TIMES!
@DropForgedSurvival I think you can boil rainwater too.
Everyone that was shatting on preppers? Whats up with it now😂
@gail curl your a perfect example of why city trash can burn…scream all you want but Dumbledores army hasnt got a chance…of maybe you’ll be screaming for your rights wearing your black pjs and calling everyone who doesnt agree with you a deplorable…whats the other libtard buzzword…nazi fascist ect ect…
@Santina Murphy hop out ur feelings i nvr talked about junkies. Ur personal rant that has nothing to do w me or my comment is not my problem. Go see a therapist
manictiger But look at it this way. The more people who are prepared for what comes is the fewer people who will be needin help in the future. And that will be better for everyone.
They were called right wing extremists
still shatting on them considering the food supply and everything was fine and always was fine. The toilet paper supply was fine and always was fine. If morons weren’t hoarding Clorox wipes we would probably be fine on those.
I like to think of this as a extended hurricane event. Everything i need for a upcoming hurricane plus a little extra. Well make it thru. Good video stay safe
It’s so weird to see people buy emergency water instead of filters.
Kermit
So how u gonna filter water when outage & water is out?
I have a brita filter on my sink and iodine tablets for emergency water storage.
Honestly, depends on your situation. I have water because rain is rare here, and water that makes its way to the ground is likely polluted. So I have some water filtration but would never rely on it in an emergency.
Love this video. I got everything on your list except the generator but I’m in the process.
Love understanding and patience. This is a psychological war also.
For sure. Keeping a level head is so so important
Patterns in Life you may enjoy “Seven Heaven Skills” below.
*PREPPERISMS: Following isn’t an exhaustive list of Prepper knowledge, just inspiration.*
*”MORE YOU KNOW, LESS YOU NEED”*
Skills are more valuable than stuff. Seek to acquire as many practical skills & knowledge because they can’t be easily lost, stolen or broken & then practice them now! Remember, knowledge weighs nothing so “more you know the _lighter_ your load”.
*_Proverbs 22:3 “The shrewd one sees the danger and conceals himself, But the inexperienced keep right on going and suffer the consequences.”_*
*”TWO is ONE & ONE is NONE”*
Because stuff gets lost, broken, stolen, so have backups to your backups of essentials like 2 knives, 2 lighters, etc listed in your Bug-Out-Bag described at the end below.
*”RULE of 3″*
You can die after 3 seconds of indecision during a fatal threat (predetermine reasonable losses) 3 minutes without air (practice freediving breathing techniques) 3 hours of exposure to extreme weather (practice hydrotherapy to enhance body thermo-regulation) 3 days without water (practice economy of movement & water fasting) 3 weeks without food (practice fasting) 3 months without a long term plan (because seasons change) 3 years without a partner/team (screen members now) 3 decades without reproduction (new generation is necessary)
*FOUR SELF-DEFENSE*
EVASION (head-on-a-swivel; become a “Grayman”)
PERSUASION (humble negotiation/bartering, reading body language, micro expressions, listening, psychology, persuasive language patterns)
DEFENSE (if evasion/persuasion fails, target their eyes, throat, ears, groin, knees, feet then escape; resilience & tenacity can outstrip strength & speed)
DEFENSIVE TOOL (Although firearms may be common but it may be wise to consider a concealable range defense with low maintenance & not dependent on manufactured ammo, such as an adjustable cane/walking staff, baseball bat, crowbar, slingshot, bullwhip, etc)
*FIVE to SURTHRIVE!*
True, we should all be prepared to survive without energy/electricity or public water. But creating energy & water off-grid means more than just surviving, but it’s thriving!
SOLAR POWER SYSTEM: solar panels, battery bank, inverter
WIND GENERATOR: wind turbine, battery bank, inverter.
HANDCRANK GENERATOR: gear ratio allows just one person to turn a handle & generate power.
COMBO GENERATOR: generator that combines as many of these sources above.
DEHUMIDIFIER: can pull water right out of the air!
PROs: Solar & Wind power increased by adding more panels, turbines, or batteries.
Handcrank can be hooked up to a bicycle & is never dependent on the weather but can generate electricity 24/7.
Dehumidifier (large model) can provide upto 8 gallons of water per day (depending on humidity level) even in a tiny little apartment.
CONs: No sun or wind, or human fatigue may limit power. Dehumidifiers are useless without electricity & if the air is contaminated be prepared to filter the water before drinking.
*SIX SHIELDED SHELTER*
_”Watchout With Wetty, Windy, Warmy, Wiggly, Wicky & Widow-makers!”_
Build shelter where it’s high & dry above “wetty” during rain, but close to a “wetty” source to stay hydrated; where “windy” is blocked when it’s cold, but allow “windy” when hot; where fire wood keeps you “warmy” when cold, but shaded from “warmy” when hot; where you’re off the ground away from “wiggly” critters & off a “wicky” cold ground; & not under “widow-maker” dead trees/limbs that could fall on you. Remember, you need something to sleep under, to sleep on & to sleep in.
*SEVEN HEAVEN SKILLS*
YouTube “How to” videos for these force multipliers & practice daily/wkly:
LEARNING/REMEMBERING (attention=retention, repetition=recall, adaptability=survivability)
HABIT CREATION (uses cues, craving, routine, reward; success is the compound interest of effective habits)
MEDITATION (enhances attention span, pain & stress management)
HEALTH (Eat better but less; Move more often & faster; Hygiene your machine by keeping clean)
FASTING (autophagy & strengthens self-control/self-discipline)
FIRST-AID/TRAUMA (YOU are your “first responder”, practice M.A.R.C.H. algorithm)
NEGOTIATION (reading body language, micro expressions, listening, psychology, persuasive language patterns, bartering)
*EIGHT PREP RATE*
Acquire EVERYTHING to survive an entire short period first, before getting more stuff for a longer period because you do NOT want to have a year’s worth of water but only 1wk of food & no medical supplies when everything collapses!
1ST: 1 week of water (1gal per person per day), 1 week of food (pre-cooked non-perishable), medical supplies, 1 week of hygiene supplies, 1 week of etc, etc.
2ND: enhance home security & security protocols
3RD: 3 months of water, food, etc
4TH: enhance transportation options (bicycle, cart, etc), dependability & security
5TH: Bug-Out-Bag Myth that bugging out is your first option? NO! Despite the fact that sheltering-in-place is optimum, we never know when we may be forced to bug-out, so it’s “Better To Have It & Not Need It, Than Need It & Not Have It”. Next, double up on equipment because, “Two is One & One is None”.
6TH: 6 mos mix of more water, food, etc, seeds (heirloom Non-GMO seeds are greater than gold), & physical library of educational prepping books.
7TH: Self-Sustainable Sustenance, food production (study & practice gardening/small animal farming [chickens, meat rabbits, etc])
8TH: Priority Faith to pray for wisdom & humility to answer “If I only had enough time/money to acquire just one more skill/thing before a collapse what would it be?”
*_Beginners should just strive to survive without electricity for 72hrs. Then over time, work up to surviving a nuclear attack, because then you will most likely be able to survive every other kind of disaster. Remember, “prepping” is not an event, it’s a lifestyle._*
*NINE CORE MEMBERS*
Anyone opposed to your core Principles & Purposes of life should NOT be in your group!
GUARDIAN (Security, safety)
HEALER (doctor, medic, nurse, therapist, herbalist)
PROVIDER (hunts, forages, scavenges)
TINKERER (engineer, scientist, mechanic, handyman, tradesman)
FARMER (reproduces animal/plant food; “When you can feed yourself, you can free yourself!”)
CLERK (organizes supplies, equipment, tasks, training)
CAREGIVER (domestic [cooking, cleaning, laundry, etc], counselor, teacher/babysitter)
LEADER (empathetically unemotional, logical, negotiator; will emerge as core group is established)
CHAMELEON (quick learner, adaptable, willing to change positions & either already has or studies other skills not listed here)
*_All skills should be cross trained._*
*B.O.B. (BUG OUT BAG)*
_(Do NOT confuse this with a smaller “Go-bag/Get-Home-Bag” kept in your vehicle)_
Without compromising quality, get the lightest weight versions of these items & choose multifunction tools to keep total pack weight to less than 20% of a healthy person’s body weight. Some examples are included below but there are always better quality items so do your own research. Remember, the best survival items are the ones you already have & know how to use, & the more you know the lighter your load, so study ways to improvise equipment/tools in the field & practice now with what you have. Outside of the B.O.B. hang a small bag of “survival pocket litter” that you empty into your pockets & onto your belt & include one item from each of the following catagories, just in case you get separated from your B.O.B.
CONTAINER: Collapsible 1liter plastic water bottle or metal capped canister; mini-Sawyer water filter (water is 8lbs per gallon, so in addition to having some initial water on you, the ability to filter discovered water while on the move will be vital to keeping you hydrated & your load light)
CUTTING: Knife (3/16″ thick, full tang), Multi-tool w/folding knife, saw, screwdriver set, scissors, awl, can & bottle opener, & pliers.
COMBUSTION: lighters, ferro rods, fresnel lens (magnifying glass), tinder, candle, flashlight, headlamp, etc.
CORDAGE: rope/paracord/duct tape
COVERING: Heavy duty plastic tarp 6×8, 55gal plastic drum liners or sleeping bag, hammock tent, 2 pair socks, 2 underwear, 2 undershirts (avoid cotton, cotton kills), long-sleeved shirt/pull over hoodie, pants (no shorts), work gloves, face masks, bandana/shemagh, mosquito netting, hat, boots, light rain jacket w/hood (unless you live where it’s colder than ⅓ of the year do not pack a heavy winter coat, just layer up all clothing when cold & insulate with plastic/rain poncho), avoid camouflage- it’s not “Grayman”
CARE: First-Aid/Trauma kit (tourniquet, compression bandages, assortment of guaze, medicine, etc); Hygiene (comb, 3 hand towels, toothbrush, toenail clippers, sewing kit, upholstery thread, etc)
CONSUMPTION: Food (pre-cooked non-perishable -MREs/jerky) & Fishing/Hunting tools (fish/gill net, snare wire, traps, hooks line & tackle, slingshot, crossbow, gun)
COMMUNICATIONS: Whistle, handcrank/solar AM/FM radio w/weather stations; walkie talkie, CB or ham radio, Topo Maps (local, state, country) & Compass; Energy (charger cords, handcrank/solar charger, batteries)
CREDENTIALS: (pin reminder note on B.O.B. to get these before leaving) birth certificate, passport, marriage license, house & car keys.
CASH: Initially cash money will still be King; pocket sized barter items (small packets of non-perishable food, instant coffee packets, sample bottles of liquor, gold/silver chain, candy/gum)
CRAFTING: Axe/Machete, Folding/bow/wire saws, Clawbar 10″ (doubles as hammer & key to city), Self-adjusting wrench, Locking pliers, MultiBit Screwdriver & Nut Driver, Electrical wire stripper.
CREATIVE: playing cards, harmonica (can scare off predators), pocket bible, SAS Survival Guide.
*_”But what if nothing happens?”_** It’s okay to be wrong, just don’t be dead wrong. Copy this & share!*
*Liberty=Peace & in the name of my Savior Jesus Christ I pray to his father, Almighty God Jehovah, that we always enjoy both!*
Exactly
Survival has no political affiliation. Stock up, protect your family and talk to your neighbors.
Not just also but mostly!
Hello Chris, I’m a kid, I prep, I’ve invested all my money into prepping I had about 5 bottles of hand sanitizer in my survival bag, who’s laughing now, if I had to bug in I would pick my man cave aka garage, I have all my prepping items in there, like card games and flashlights and in my backyards I have about 90 gallons of water in a barrel. I think it’s goin pretty good
5 bottles of hand sanitizer..oh my! 🙄 any soap? Real soap not that lilac body wash detergent but lava, irish spring Castile? 😂😂😂😂😂😂 yah…….
One thing you may want to include. Palmolive hand soap (unscented). It is a natural antiseptic that is strong enough that my surgeon told me to use it before surgery. He also said I should put in my med kit for cleaning wound areas and my hands to prevent spreading infection. It is Old School and works.
Keep prepping but get training wherever you can, Red Cross and such.
Good job, young man. Glad to see you are smart. You are the future.
@Mason Scott a gift for you.

Santina Murphy yes I do
The obvious one that EVERYONE ignores…….money. (You’re the ONLY channel that’s mentioned it.)
I prep. I was also laid off last week. Fortunately, my prepping also involved paying off my property/home in full as well as all debts.
This allowed me to save 2 full years wages for emergencies…..it’s been a lot more useful than anything else I have in my prepper stock.
You can’t pay rent or buy anything with a water filter, mre’s, ammunition or toilet paper.
You can sell ammo. I’d buy it
I mean, you can pay with ammunition, as long as you don’t mind jail food
Even if you own the property, they always want the taxes. Do need some cash.

@Corey Mack ….and toilet paper ☺️

Nobody talks about toothbrushes and toothpaste to save that to
Not at the top of Most Lists. But a solid add-on
Mouthwash, floss and whatever other dental care needs. Fixodent etc…for seniors.
