What it Means to Love God

While many believe they love God and God loves them, is the truth within them? Are they living in accordance with the word or what they believe to be true?
The natural man follows the ways of this world in belief. Those who walk after the Spirit, do all things in accordance with the word.
Proverbs 3:1 – My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments:
1 John 5:3
3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.
Deuteronomy 7:9 – Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he [is] God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;
John 14:15 – If ye love me, keep my commandments.
“He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.”
1 John 3:18-19
18 My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.
19 And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him.
God’s ways are not man’s ways and those who walk after the ways of this world, don’t do as God commands.
2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
1 Corinthians 2:14-15
14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.
Blessed are they that keep judgment, and he that doeth righteousness at all times.
Most don’t know what the ways of God are, because they don’t do as He commands. Following the ways of ungodliness and unrighteousness, because of disobedience to God.
Why do so many believe they love God, but not do as He commands?
If one is not living the way God commands, then they are following the same ungodly ways of disobedience, from the devil.
When it’s either one or the other, one’s fruit shows where their love is going.
24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
Those who keep God’s commandments, are they who love Him. Many believe because they do a few things, they keep God’s commandments, but where are the ways of God present in doing anything?
5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil.
Trusting in God with all one’s heart, is a command for righteousness. One’s whole heart needs to acknowledge God’s commands for His ways as direction. As they don’t lead to sin.
17 The Lord is righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works.
1 John 2:29 – If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.
1 John 5:18
We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.
Sin is the evidence of ungodliness and unrighteousness. Holiness is the evidence of the ways of God at work within.
Those who are keeping God’s commands, have no control over the outcome from His ways being manifested. The ways of God can only manifest “good works”.
Those who profess to love God and manifest the ungodly works of unrighteousness, show the truth of what they say is not in existence.
What is really keeping God’s commands?
That’s the reason why anything said, is not acceptable as proof. One’s actions of keeping God’s commands, assure one’s heart before God.
How is one’s whole heart with God, if the ways of the devil are at work within? How is the devil’s presence in one’s actions, show one’s love for God? Would not God’s image be seen, if one was doing things the way He commands?
What most don’t know is that it’s God’s image from His ways being done, that gives Him the glory. One’s love for God is shown by His image being seen from doing righteousness. Since all of God’s commands are directions in righteousness, those who keep them, wouldn’t have any appearance of ungodliness and unrighteousness in their actions. Justification of one’s love for God.
