My inlaws are Old Order Amish, so I tend to get some fun handmade goodies. I have a blue jean rag rug that has been ABUSED, over washed, left outside, etc., and it’s 30 yrs old and still perfectly held together. Imagine if I would have babied it. :DDD
Propane fridge? That’s really go full Amish. Also, asking Amish people for ice in your drinks is a funny thing. The first time I asked my hubby’s family for ice they could not figure out why I wanted it.

    • Hermit Hill Farm

Doug and Stacy aren’t Amish. Doug just likes the clothes because they’re practical

    • Lori Sanford

It is so awesome that you have an heirloom like that that you can love everyday that can make it through thick and thin and still survive 30 years and probably another 100 more.
It was a really nice thing that your mother-in-law did making y’all nice rug like that you must just love getting all the sweet handmade things from her.
It sounds like you have a wonderful life, take care and God bless 💗🙏💗

    • Lori Sanford

@Hermit Hill Farm I’m not trying to be rude whatsoever I promise, but I’m sure she knows that because she watch the video that we watched also, have a great day and God bless 💗

I simply love these people and their message, this is truly how we were intended to live.We should love one another as ourselves, help one another, work hard, play hard. I believe most the most important thing is to worship and show gratitude to the one true living God who led us out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

    • Rocco

@OFF GRID with DOUG & STACY Shabbat shalom and blessings.

    • Steven Randall

I wouldn’t say they “play hard” lol

@L B It will be a reality when this heaven and earth pass away and those who truly believe in and serve Christ will inherit the new heaven & earth and Yeshua, (Jesus) will reign as our King. Much love and blessing

I love that she wears a hat and overalls.
    Being comfortable in her environment..
You can tell when a lady is comfortable and when they aren’t.
    They both are well groomed.

  • Em Roehrmomma

They’re so encouraging. Showing what is possible but reminding you not to get discouraged. It really does take time.

Hi to anyone reading this. Just wanted to share some very very good news during difficult times. Jesus loves you so so much! He died for your sins. We are all sinners who fall short of the glory of God. He is a perfect and holy God and we can’t do anything that can make us earn or deserve heaven. Good works can’t get you to Heaven because we still fall short and have sinned. Even a single lie stops you from going. The good news is that God loves us so much that He sent Jesus His only begotten son to die for us on the cross. He suffered and died, taking YOUR punishment If you put your trust and faith in Jesus alone. He loves you so much, just tell Him you know how much you messed up and how you have sinned and how you deserved to be punished (don’t worry we all do) Tell Him how you believe He is the Lord, died for your sins, was buried and rose again on the third day. Just ask Him to come into your life as your personal savior and get to know Him personally. By the blood of Christ alone you can be righteous in God’s eyes. God bless you! I hope you will accept Jesus and that I will see you there in heaven! I may not know you but I love you and I want you to be there. 😊❤️

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
      ‭‭Romans‬ ‭10:9-10‬ ‭

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”
      ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭2:8-9‬ ‭

“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
      ‭‭Romans‬ ‭5:8‬ ‭

@God’s little daughter We all have sinned and fallen short, that is why we need salvation. Salvation is attained by following God’s plan for us, or his WILL. We are to treat the New Testament as it is- It is the last will and testament of Jesus Christ, so in order to know what God’s will is for us, we must study his word and know it. Check out John 8:31,32. Firstly, we must HEAR God’s word taught to us – Romans 10:17. Next, we must BELIEVE, Mark 16:16, John 3:16. After believing, this should prompt us to REPENT. Repentance is widely misunderstood- It is not simply telling God you are sorry and continuing as you were, but it is Godly sorrow toward God for sins committed, and TURNING AWAY from those sins and deciding to live a new life, Ephesians 4:22-24; Luke 13:3. After repentance, you are ready to CONFESS your belief in Jesus before men, Matthew 10:32. After these steps have been followed, you are ready to put on your Lord in baptism. Baptism is a full immersion in water for the remission of sins. The Lord adds you to His one true church at the point of baptism. Acts 2:38; 1 Peter 3:21; Baptism is symbolic of Jesus’s death, burial, and resurrection, see Romans 6:3-4. When you rise from the watery grave of baptism, you put to death the “old man” and his old ways, and arise a new creature in Christ. You are added to the Lord’s church and body of the saved, read Acts 2:47. This is not the end of your duties to God, but the beginning. You are now ready to continue growing and developing spiritually through study, prayer, and meditating on the Word of God. Psalm 1:2; 1 Peter 3:18: 1 Peter 2:2-3. By faithfully living as a Christian (you will know how by studying God’s will, the Bible), you will have Heaven as your home in the end, Revelation 22:5; Ecclesiastes 12:13-14. As always with any information that is important (and this is of the UTMOST importance), check what I am saying by studying the Bible for yourself, 1 John 4:1. Though I do not have all the answers, I would love to help should you have any questions. I pray this was helpful! Have a great day 🙂

@Red Cedar Homestead yes these are things we do after we are saved but I’m just talking about how to get saved and be saved and sealed with the Holy Spirit until the day of redemption. I’m more of talking about the how to get saved and how’s it’s all and only by believing on Jesus (the gospel/good news) but I wasn’t talking about things to do once you are already saved by the grace of God through your faith. Repentance means metanoia. To change your mind. in terms of salvation It’s kind of like changing your mind and regretting your unbelief/whatever you were believing in before/Or for Jews it could be stop following the law and looking to their own self righteousness. It’s so important to be able to rightly divide the word and read everything in complete context since so many things get taken out of context. But yes these are things we do after we are saved not in order to be saved. Since being saved is only by our faith in Jesus and believing the gospel. I pray you will take all this to the Lord and ask Him. 🙂 💗
