Jesus Christ: “Think Not That I Am Come To Send Peace On Earth”
Matthew 10:33-35
33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.
34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
If you’re a Christian or of the right, you need to understand that Jesus Christ Himself clearly stated that He didn’t come to send peace on earth. He couldn’t be any clearer than that.
That isn’t primarily a reference to engaging in endless wars, but a realization that when you understand and defend truth, it will result in even families being torn apart. Not only did Jesus state that was part of His mission, but that it is inevitable.
So when we hear these pleas from clueless Christian leaders for healing in America, don’t for one second heed that call, because it goes directly against the words of Jesus Christ.
Those who call for unity are in fact are always calling for Christians to surrender in the name of their god of unity. In reality what’s being called for is to ignore the truth and demands of Jesus Christ so people feel good about their rebellion against God Almighty.
What Jesus Christ and the prophets and apostles called for was repentance from sin, including the desecration of truth for the purpose of avoiding conflict and persecution. In other words, unity is being used as a weapon against Christians to keep them from engaging the enemy at all points of life.
You want unity? Then we must declare the call of God to repentance and unconditional surrender to His Lordship and salvation. Anything less than that makes unity impossible, and the consequence of unbiblical agreement an abomination and rebellion against God and Jesus Christ.
The bottom line is Jesus Christ declared Himself to be the truth, and that truth is revealed in the Holy Scriptures. There is no unity without obeying the call to obedience of repentance unto salvation, and to learn and obey the commands of Jesus Christ, as He stated in the Great Commission.
When that occurs, than we can negotiate their terms of surrender, which is unconditional.
There can never be unity between the old creation and the new creation; they are diametrically opposed to one another. One is based upon death and falsehood, the other on life and truth, which only reside in Jesus Christ and those in whom He dwells.
