I was born and raised 20 minutes from Boston, MA. At the age of 17, I was diagnosed with Anxiety. My personal experience with the prescribed medication was NOT POSITIVE. So I decided to find better way. I didn't know it at the time but, that was the BEGINNING for me! I have been “FINDING A BETTER WAY” in all areas in my life ever since. Better ways of how to create a modern homestead affordably, and a better way to provide my family with healthy foods, and so….. much MORE!
At Lumnah Acres we hope our experiences can help guide you to find YOUR BETTER WAY! Please join us in sharing our journey with you, let us be a guide to Modern Homesteading, Self-Sufficiency, and FREEDOM for you!

You should call the rooster Ralph. He is loud like Ralph Cramden (Jackie Gleason) on the Honeymooners back in the 1950’s.

You had the same idea as me. Name all the chickens.
Bang! Zoooooom!
Drumstick would be a great name, just to remind him what happens to naughty roosters!! Haha!
Or perhaps, “Hotwings.”
Call the rooster Cap’n Morgan after the pirate.
And the star of the show, FIGARO! Lol
Happy to hear of all the harvesting this year. Your hard work pays off 😊
@Jo Jo Figaro MUST be on camera 🙂
Lol even Figaro wants to know the results! 😹 how about naming one of the roosters Foghorn Leghorn (Foggy) 😂
“I like it” 🙂
🤣
I say, I say,That gets my vote, son! 😁🐔🐔🐔
@J H lol 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Good morning all, Dont forget to remove the nipples where the pigs drank from, remember last year the pipe froze and broke .Great video.
Was thinking same thing but after he moved it I didn’t even see them on it anymore
Figaro sure does love his people
He’s a love magnet! He sure was asking for attention while they were filming their total counts. “Pet me! Pet me! Aren’t I a cutie?” 😁
@Sam Val Figaro will get his way always love Figaro.
I’m so sorry, I remembered at 415am that I forgot to add the link.

Loved the video. How about Cogburn? As in Rooster Cogburn from the movie True Grit. You could call him Bernie for short.
Cogburn is a good choice
You beat me to it – I was thinking same thing!
I planted Millennium asparagus about 6 years ago in my garden and they have been reseeding for the past few years, I have dug up the seedlings and planted them in a new area and now I have close to a hundred plants. Have a great weekend everyone.
Love asparagus. And love Brussels sprouts. No one had either at our farmer’s market.
Good morning from the mountain!
Rooster name suggestion: Russell (for Russell Crow)😎🐓
Our snow will also be showing up soon…just not ready yet for the cold! Love your family!

Talk about reality TV: in front of your very eyes, a FRESH LAID EGG!
25:22 egg production in real-time!
Chicken reality show
I’ve never seen a chicken lay an egg. That was fascinating!
Do you eat the tougher ends of the asparagus. If not, you can cook , puree and strain it for asparagus soup.
I have never seen a chicken lay an egg before in my life. Thank You Lumnah Acres!!!!!
To keep chickens in there fence remember to only clip one side of wings. Keeps them off balance so they won’t fly out.
Names for the rooster, Russell Crow, and Gregory Peck.
Yes, I like Gregory Peck also. Good choice.
Both names are very good well done Morten 🙂
Think I damaged a kidney laughing at that !!!!
Great picks
Great names lol
Remember the frozen pipes on the pig pasture mobile, better remove the nipples on them water pipes!
Name the Copper Moran Rooster “Tiny” He’s big, so like Moose is little, well, you get what I’m saying.
Maybe “Mouse” or something to keep with the M names for roosters and your size theme lol
That was my first thought, too, haha! (Tiny, I mean, but the M/Mouse idea is good, too – maybe Mickey? Hahaha!)
Good morning from the UK.
The rest of the asparagus stalks make great additions to soups. Where I live we get a lot of asparagus grown on the farms, and it’s also a favourite vegetable for gardeners to grow locally. I hope you get chance to make up a bed next spring.
Not sure on the rooster name. I’m sure other subscribers will come up with a great idea or two.
Did I spot a building of some kind in the background over in the woods while you were moving the chicken tractors? Is it part of the big project you’ve got planned I wonder? 🤔 Time will tell, especially as there are other things to do for now.
Stay safe, everyone.
You two are a good example of husband and wife working together for 1 goal a happy Homestead And family!
Morning to you all, from here in somerset in tge UK. Love watching you all and the progress of your homestead, glad we dont get the heavy snow etc that you get. How about “” Croc Pot”” for your rooster name, because he might end up in there one day Have a lovely weekend and stay safe.🐐🐔🐓🐖🐖
I love how the goats compete for the tiny goat trail. They reluctantly walk on the grass to pass the other goat.
The March of the Goats!
