Just a few cautions about paracord. It should never be used in any life endangering events, like rappelling or climbing. It is designed to take a SHOCK load and hold, not a sustained load. Many things folks use paracord for could be done with jute twine (it is biodegradable and it can be used to start a fire too.) I use some lesser brand “paracord” for shelter construction or lashings and save my real paracord for potential emergency uses like sewing, fishing, making gill nets or game nets for fish or critters, heavy dead falls, etc to get the maximum potential from that material. I made a nice sling for my M-6 survival rifle and I am working on a usable design to make spare ammo tubes for my M-6 shotgun shells and I will wrap them to the barrels with paracord. Bank Line is also good for many uses and will save that paracord too. Mil Spec paracord can be purchased at US Cavalry Store, Ranger Joe’s, Amazon.com and probably Cheaper Than Dirt to name a few. A google search can be done, just make sure it is genuine or authentic. JMHO guys. Be careful how you use it, if you get pinned or choked by it you will not be able to break it, so use caution for some applications. It will fail if exposed to high friction and heat.

But I’d still assume most of the people wearing paracord bracelet just think it’s a friendship bracelet.
Seems like those bracelets are so tightly knit that you wouldn’t wanna unwind and use the cord unless unless it was a true emergency. A rolled up ball of cord seems way handier for someone who actually wants to use it.

  • I am extremely impressed with your writing skills as smartly as with the structure
to your weblog. Is this a paid theme or did you modify it
yourself? Either way stay up the nice quality writing, it’s
uncommon to see a great weblog like this one today..
